Ditch the TriFold and Ignite Student Voice, Passion, and Creativity
2024 marks the 8th year of CapCon! A Capstone Learning Conference. No tri-folds. Instead, 5th graders produce Ignite and TED inspired talks, and documentary movies based on research and experience, putting student learning, passion and voice on true display.
This session will dive into rethinking the notion of student driven learning and presenting in modern, engaging ways. How one school flipped the staid tri-fold model and turned it on its head.

The CSDF Standards of Computational Thinking AND Networks & Systems Design
The standards in technology are changing.  Our district technology team researched the new NYS CS/DF standards and we discovered we were lacking in resources for Computational Thinking AND Networks & Systems Design.  Computational Thinking AND Networks & Systems Design vocabulary and lessons can be verbose and overwhelming to some teachers and students.  So our technology team researched and gathered materials and resources to help support our teacher colleagues and students with the transition to these new standards.
